About My Personal Dog Trainer

A one-trainer practice built around busy households

The site opens in the first person: "If you're like most of my clients, you're busy. Really busy… Who has time for dog training classes? Not you! That's where I come in. I'm Jaime Juda, and I'd love to be your personal dog trainer." The premise is that group classes fail busy people, so the practice deliberately works "one-on-one with a small number of clients at a time" and travels to the client's home "so your dog learns right in the thick of real life."

Programs

Three are listed: Board & Train, where the dog is trained in the trainer's own home as part of her family so results transfer back, In-Home Private Training, and a Family Dog Program. The site is pointed about homework: "Too many trainers assign clients heavy homework loads, only to blame a lack of progress on your failure to 'turn in your work.'… As your personal dog trainer, I'll do as much of the training for you as I can."

Credentials and specialty

The qualifications section is one of the most detailed in the area. The site credits Jaime Juda with 19 years on the job and lists: graduate of CATCH Canine Trainer's Academy; CPDT-KA (Certified Professional Dog Trainer – Knowledge Assessed) from the Certification Council for Professional Dog Trainers; certified service dog coach with Cooperative Paws; certified Doggone Safe instructor; and completion of Michael Shikashio's Aggression in Dogs Master course. Memberships listed are the Association of Professional Dog Trainers, the International Association of Animal Behavior Consultants, the Pet Professionals Guild and the International Association of Professional Dog Trainers.

The stated specialty is "behavior modification with a focus on aggression," pursued with what the site calls a scientific approach and continuing education. The site also explains why no aggression or anxiety cases appear on its social media.

Second trainer

Jacob Juda introduces himself as Jaime's son and says he has "been a professional trainer for 5 years now," naming membership of The Association of Professional Dog Trainers and the International Association of Canine Professionals.
