About Pawtential Dog Training

Pawtential Dog Training covers a wide slice of northern Virginia from Great Falls, describing itself as "Providing in-person and virtual Dog Training and Pet Care services in Great Falls, Vienna, Tysons Corner, McLean, Oakton, Reston, Falls Church, and Arlington, Virginia."

The method

The site is explicit about where it stands: "Our professional dog training methods are current, humane and science based", built on the belief that "all animals and humans deserve love, respect and compassion."

The specialty

Separation anxiety gets its own section rather than a line in a list. The site frames it as "a panic disorder triggered by being away from a specific person or by being alone", describes the signs an owner would recognize – vocalizing for long periods, destructive behavior, house soiling only when alone – and says "Pawtential Dog Training is passionate about helping separation anxiety dogs and their families." The stated reason is first-hand: "If this describes you, we understand from personal experience."

Getting started

Ask about prices. The published entry point is a video call: "Sign up for a complimentary new client ZOOM call to learn more about us and find the right training or pet care option for your dog."

A note on scent work

Several client testimonials describe years of nosework and scent work classes with a trainer named Jan. Those sit in the review section rather than the service list, so ask directly if that is what you are after.
