About Precision Dog Training Academy

What they offer

Precision Dog Training Academy runs a training facility at 13420 W 62nd Terrace in Shawnee. Its three main programs are board and train, private training and group training, and it also offers boarding with supervised playgroups.

Board and train

In the board and train program the dog lives at the facility for a set period with daily training sessions and socialization. The Foundation Program runs two weeks and covers recall, heeling on leash, sit with an implied stay and doorway manners, and client reviews on the home page describe three- and four-week programs as well.

Private training and classes

Private training addresses behavior issues including aggression, dog and human reactivity, jumping on counters and furniture, door-dashing and leash pulling, along with basic obedience. Owners choose the areas to focus on. The Puppy 101 group class runs eight 50-minute sessions covering recall, place, sit and down stays, loose-leash walking, potty training and puppy play, and the facility offers other group classes for foundation and higher-level skills.

Good to know

The site says its trainers graduated from programs including the Tom Rose School, Michael Ellis Professional School and NePoPo School, and that the owner and master trainer served as a police officer and Army officer. It offers a free training consultation to start.
