About Prince K9 Training

Prince K9 Training is led by K.J. Prince, who introduces himself as "your lead dog behavioral specialist and trainer in Middle Tennessee" and describes a career switch: "I worked at the Rutherford County Sheriff's Office when I started training Kamo. I quickly realized this was my true passion and left the department to pursue a career in training man's best friend." The business trades under the line "Training For Your Lifestyle."

What they publish

Four routes are set out. In-Home Dog Training sends "an experienced trainer visiting your home and performing a series of dog training sessions that teach YOU how to train your furry friend and better understand the kind of dog you have." Board and Train runs "from 1 week to 8 weeks" and includes four follow-up lessons – a 30-minute to one-hour handover at pick-up and three more of one to two hours. Off-leash Dog Training is "three sessions" that "acquaint you and your dog with the incredible realm of low-level remote collar training, resulting in a dog that responds to your call without fail, regardless of your location or the surrounding distractions." Puppy Training is for "young dogs (puppies) who need a boost to start their training." Day Training is offered to returning clients for advanced work, and Lifetime Lessons are "lessons for the Life of the dog."

Behavior work

The services page names the cases taken: "Behavior Modification for resource guarding, aggression, and human and dog reactivity." The enquiry form lets an owner select from basic obedience, leash pulling, dog aggression/reactivity, human aggression/reactivity, anxiety and puppy training.
