What they publish

The program list is the franchise's standard one. Board and Train means "your dog stays with our expert trainers full-time for 7, 14, or 21 days," with the schedule chosen by the owner. Private Dog Training Lessons are "uniquely tailored to your dog's personality and behavior, based on a thorough assessment of your dog by our trainers," and "can be held at your home or at our Murfreesboro facility." Day Training has the dog spend the day with trainers while the owner also receives private lessons to reinforce the work, in "a 6- or 15-day program." Group Classes run "from essential obedience commands to house training," with puppy classes for dogs younger than five months and foundation courses in "small groups (consisting of five to seven dogs)." Beyond the core four, the page lists socialization training, problem solving (barking, chewing, jumping, begging, counter surfing, digging, leash pulling, play biting, marking, door bolting, housebreaking), aggression training, an adopted/rescue program, resource guarding work and a Baby Prep class.

How the franchise describes its approach

"Our dog training program is designed to empower both you and your dog to work together, fostering strong bonds and lasting obedience. Our highly personalized approach involves coaching your dog alongside a professional dog trainer, both in your home environment and in small group settings." On aggression the page takes a position: "We understand that aggression is often linked to fear, poor socialization, or trauma."

Worth knowing

This page is corporate template copy with the city name substituted in, not locally written material. Two things give it away: the served page title reads "Murfreesboro, Tennessee – Dog & Puppy Training | The Dog Wizard, Ohio," and the specialty section hedges in the plural – "Many The Dog Wizard centers in Murfreesboro offer specialty courses." Ask for the facility's street address, who the trainers are and the opening hours. The programs above should be read as what the franchise sells nationally, and confirmed with this location before booking.
