About Tail Gate For Dogs

Boarding and daycare in Elmhurst with an obedience class track

Tail Gate For Dogs runs a full-service facility at 830 N Addison Ave in Elmhurst covering boarding, daycare, grooming and training. Daycare is described as offering "spacious indoor and outoor accommodations… fun play equipment and pools during play group," and the business claims "10 years of experience" and describes itself as "the first facility of our kind in the area." An open door policy is stated, inviting owners to stay involved in their dogs' care.

Training

The training page names the trainer directly: "We're thrilled to have Kris Augelli on the Tail Gate team! With professional certifications, years of experience, and a passion for canine behavior… Using positive reinforcement methods, Kris helps dogs and their humans build strong, lasting bonds through clear communication and mutual trust."

Two group courses are described, both six weeks and both on Thursday evenings. Basic Obedience at 6:00 PM is "perfect for dogs just starting their training journey," covering foundational commands, leash skills and reliable communication. Intermediate Obedience at 7:00 PM is for dogs that have finished a beginner course and know sit, down, stay and place, and adds distractions, duration and advanced communication. Entry requirements are that all dogs be up to date on vaccinations and at least 12 weeks old.

Check dates before booking

The session dates printed against both classes ran from July 10, 2025 to August 14, 2025, and the page closes with "Stay tuned for more class offerings and future sessions!" — so the schedule shown is a past session and current dates need to be confirmed with the facility.
