About Woofs of Wisdom Dog Training

Woofs of Wisdom Dog Training is run by Alora Tawoosi, who introduces herself on the site as "the owner and operator of Woofs of Wisdom Dog Training". The business is named for her late American Staffordshire Terrier, Athena, and the site is unusually open about it.

The approach

The stated method is communication-first: "I've modeled my whole training program based around learning communication skills and made it my goal to ensure you not only understand HOW to communicate with your dog but you learn WHY it works, as well." She describes the toolkit as "a combination of balanced training methods and techniques to strengthen the human-animal bond!" The stated mission is "providing you with the knowledge & wisdom required to build strong relationships with you and your dog."

Credentials

She describes herself as "a Certified Dog Trainer with the Animal Behavior College where I specialized in: Basic & Advanced Obedience, Teaching Group Classes, and Canine Nutrition". Note that those three are the subjects of her certification, not a menu of services on offer.

Woof Walks

The second product is a walk with training folded in – "customized dog walks that include additional training" – aimed at the owner the site asks: "Does your dog struggle with reactivity?" and "Does your dog need more enrichment or physical activity in their life?"
