I can’t say enough great things about Advanced K-Nine Dog Training and Mike. My Boxer puppy was taught all of his basic commands using positive, effective methods, and the results have been amazing. He’s now well behaved, confident, and truly a pleasure to live with and to take out in public.
My puppy is currently continuing his training with Mike to become a therapy dog. Mike is working with him on reacting appropriately in many different situations and teaching him fun tricks along the way. It’s been incredible to see him grow calmer, more focused, and more adaptable.
Mike is also training my daughter’s highly reactive dog, helping him learn how to safely and comfortably share space with my dog. Mike’s patience, knowledge, and understanding of dog behavior really stand out, and the progress we’ve seen has been huge.

Mike trained out Cavapoo a few years ago and recently trained our St. Berdoodle. The St. Berdoodle is extremely smart and comes with an abundance of bullheadedness. Mike took his time with him until he felt comfortable that Owen had the commands down. He just turned 1 and we went back for a follow-up training. He just needed a little tune up! We were able to get him back on track and was able to give us advice to help calm the chaos of having 4 dogs. I can see a huge difference in just 1 follow-up lesson already. Mike starts the training but you MUST continue it for the best results. I have referred him to a number of people and will continue to do so.

Mike has done an absolutely fantastic job with my almost 2 year old Rottweiler. Ivy has always had a ton of energy and was always getting into things she shouldn't. Since she began working with Mike, it's like night and day difference in her obedience. Mike is great with Ivy and I've boarded her with him twice for training and never had to worry about her because I knew she was well taken care of. I highly recommend Mike for any training needs that you have.

Let me start by echoing what many have already said on this site. Mike is an amazing trainer! We took our 5-year-old rescue German Shepherd Haley to Mike because we were unsure whether she would listen to us in key situations and how she would behave around our young grandchildren. Haley responded to Mike immediately. Within the first few sessions she followed every command without hesitation. Mike’s techniques enabled us to eliminate the few irritating behaviors Haley had developed before we adopted her, and the results are lasting as we continue to use Mike’s methods. It is a joy now to take her on walks without her pulling us all over the road. We are now able to have her in the yard without a leash and she stays with us regardless of distractions from other animals, people, and vehicles. We are absolutely delighted with the results. We highly recommend Mike to anyone wanting to improve their experience with their pet.
