About Peace of Mind K9

Peace of Mind K9 sits on five acres near I-95 in Manassas. The site describes the site as "located conveniently near 95 in Manassas, Virginia on five acres including an all natural doggy pool, and plenty of shade", with "state of the art all glass kennels". It positions itself against the big operators: "We are not a large impersonal daycare, boarding and training facility. We are a small, family-owned and operated business".

Who founded it

"Heather Munsterman-Victor founded Peace of Mind K9 in Manassas, Virginia in 2021 after a career in law enforcement and police K9 detection work." That background is also sold as a service in its own right – the site lists confidential narcotics detection alongside training, daycare and boarding.

The training menu and prices

Everything is priced. One-hour sessions run "Onsite Training Starting at $85", "In-home Training Starting at $125" and "Offsite Training Starting at $125", with the note that "Pricing may also vary based on location." Board and train is quoted per dog – "Puppies (3 to 5 months old) Contact for pricing" and "Dogs (5 months and older) Starting at $2,900" – because "each Board and Train is tailored to each dog".

Training folded into daycare

A distinctive middle option exists: daycare can be bought with obedience attached, at "Full Day w/Obedience $55/day", with ten- and twenty-day packages at "10 Days of Doggy Daycare w/Obedience $530" and "20 Days of Doggy Daycare w/Obedience $1,050". Plain daycare is "Full Day $45/day" and boarding is "$70" per 24 hours.

Worth knowing before booking

Holiday and peak-day surcharges are published – "$15" per dog per day for boarding peaks and "$5" for daycare – and the site warns "Holiday spaces fill up fast".
