About The Clever Canine Training Center

About

The Clever Canine Training Center works out of 1833 Plantside Drive, Louisville, KY 40299. Its

programs are day-school shaped: dogs come in for fifteen consecutive weekdays, dropped off between

7:30 and 9:00 AM and collected between 4:00 and 5:30 PM, and go home each night.

The center is open about its tools. Each program states: "We use your dog's daily meals in place of

treats to build engagement and focus without overfeeding. Tools such as slip chains and prong collars

may be used to help create clear communication." Proof of vaccination is required for everything.

Programs

**Clever Puppy – Smart Start** ($475 per week) is built around "their critical socialization window,"

introducing sit, wait, place, leash walking basics, recall, touch target, a release cue and a kennel

command, alongside age-appropriate exposure to sights, surfaces, sounds, other dogs and people, and

basic grooming handling.

**Leash and Learn** ($575 per week) is for dogs five months and older and focuses on "on-leash

obedience, engagement, and real-life readiness," adding heel with auto-sit and down. It includes two

private lessons, a two-week post-training follow-up and six months of post-program support.

**Freedom Foundations** ($775 per week) is the e-collar program and the center's "most popular." It

is for dogs six months and older "including those with moderate behavior issues (jumping, barking,

leash reactivity)" and works toward off-leash reliability using long-line work, plus nail-trim and

grooming exposure and real-world distraction work. It includes three private lessons, a two-week

follow-up, six months of support, and the e-collar and remote.

Graduates of any program get "The Clever Canine Club for Life" — monthly group follow-ups — and a

complimentary month of Enrichment Club membership.
