Cedar Run Company #1 is at 2705 Stonegate Court in Hiawatha, open to the public Sunday to Saturday from 7am to 6pm. It is one of two Cedar Run Company pet care locations offering dog and cat boarding, daycare with multiple indoor and outdoor play areas, grooming and dog training, with webcams for the Stonegate Court site.

Training approach

Cedar Run teaches positive reinforcement methods only and customizes its work to each dog. Owners start with a discovery session to discuss goals and choose a format. The trainers are Fear Free Certified and use science-based methods, and the team includes AKC Canine Good Citizen Evaluators and Animal Behavior College graduates, led by head trainer Daniel Huesman.

Training options

Play & Train combines one-on-one training with a daycare stay and daily updates for owners, a good fit for dogs already boarding or in daycare here. Small group classes cover all ages and levels, including CGC Prep and enrichment and life skills, and private one-on-one training is available in-home or in-facility.
