Training and wellness in Hiawatha

Cedar Run Company Training & Wellness Center is the training and wellness location of Cedar Run Company, at 2701 Robins Road, Unit 200, in Hiawatha, open Monday to Friday from 8am to 5pm. Its wellness services cover rehabilitating injuries, improving mobility in aging dogs and pet fitness.

Method

Cedar Run teaches positive reinforcement methods only and builds a customized plan for each dog. Training starts with a discovery session in which a trainer meets owner and dog to set goals and pick the best option. The trainers are Fear Free Certified and use science-based methods.

Training options

Small group classes build socialization and a foundation for skills, for all ages and levels, including CGC Prep and enrichment and life skills. Private one-on-one training runs in-home or in-facility. Play & Train pairs one-on-one training with daycare, with daily updates for owners. Head trainer Daniel Huesman describes nearly nine years as a professional trainer and more than a decade with the company; he is an AKC Canine Good Citizen Evaluator, an Animal Behavior College graduate and Pet CPR and First Aid certified. The team includes trainers Madi and Stephanie, both certified through Animal Behavior College.
