About Dakotah’s Doggy Daycare, Hotel, Salon, and Training

A family-owned dog center in Elk River

Dakotah's Doggy Daycare, Hotel, Salon, and Training is a family-owned facility in Elk River serving the town since 2017. Owner John, a Minnesota native and former bank executive, opened the facility he wished he could find for his own dogs, Dakotah and Zeus. John and his dogs live in the building, so boarders have round-the-clock care.

Training

Its licensed dog trainers are credited with 15 years of combined experience, and training sessions are available both on site and in the client's home to help with manners. The center also offers massage therapy for dogs.

Daycare, boarding and grooming

Daycare starts at $7.50 an hour or $40 a day, with no appointment needed for drop-off and 10% off for a second and third dog. There are three indoor play areas matched by size and play style, plus a heated outdoor yard with wading pools, agility equipment and a misting system. Boarding includes daycare at no extra charge, and every dog gets a daily report card. Full grooming, live PlayCams and same-day booking round out the services.
