I contacted Dakota after my foster dog, Riley, kept scaring off potential adopters because of his severe reactivity. I was surprised Dakota decided to work with us after Riley barked at her for an entire hour during our initial consultation. But she earned Riley’s trust and was very patient and gentle with him. After a few sessions, I saw progress. He was able to be around ducks and geese without reacting. Thanks to the training methods Dakota taught me, Riley’s overall behavior is improving, and he now pays attention to me when we are outside of the house. He’s not a perfect dog, but he’s making progress each and every day. Thanks to the training methods I learned from Dakota and Groovy Paws, I’m sure we will find Riley’s forever family.
