Experience & credentials
Owner/head trainer Jenna Strayer has nearly ten years with sport, working, therapy and service dogs. She's a member of the Association of Professional Dog Trainers (APDT), a Canine Training Professional through the Pet Professional Guild (PPG), and an AKC Canine Good Citizen Evaluator, and competes nationally in agility, obedience, rally, scent work, dock diving and disc with her own dogs.

If you want to give your dog the best care possible away from home, send him to Jenna. I recommend the day training services, the boarding, and the individual training sessions– all of it. I am very particular about my dog–we all are, right? When he is with Jenna I know he is being exercised, minding his manners, learning, and having an incredible time. It is a treat for him to go with Jenna. I have had to drag him by the leash into very nice daycare faculties and it always makes me feel terrible. Now, when Jenna comes to get him in the morning, he is super happy and ready for the best day ever. My dog is young and Jenna has played and will continue to play a major part in shaping him into a well-behaved, social, fun-to-be around, cool dog. Isn't that what all dog owners want? I really cannot recommend her enough.

We are first time puppy owners with a huge amount to learn to train our 6 month old Bichon. After checking out several day care situations, we hated to leave Louie in any of them – too wild and unsupervised. Jenna is the absolute best and is helping save our sanity during this tough 6 month teenage period! Louie is so excited to see her and her dogs, and he gets an incredible 3 mile park workout and then some training and rest time in a great private setting. Jenna is committed to giving dogs the opportunity to just be dogs and do the dog exploring and learning that healthy dogs require. We feel totally at ease and relaxed when Louie is in her care, and we will be boarding him with Jenna for a week when we leave town. Peace of mind!! She's fabulous – we cannot recommend her more highly.

I wholeheartedly recommend Jenna and her talents. We worked with Jenna when we adopted a rescue puppy (rat terrier mix) a couple years ago and we now have the best trained dog in the neighborhood. From working with us even before we picked up the dog, making sure we had the best crate set up, treats, toys, etc., to doing a home visit once we brought the dog home, and weekly training sessions, we were always thrilled with Jenna and her influence on our dog and our family. Penny is an absolute rockstar of a dog and it’s because we started her off correctly with proper training. She listens to our recalls, walks off leash, doesn’t bark at the doorbell, doesn’t destroy anything other than her toys/treats, and even listens to our kids (who were 3 and 4 at the start) when they ask her to do things. Jenna is the best and any dog owner would be lucky to work with her!
