About Maine Working Dogs

What they offer

Maine Working Dogs breeds Belgian Malinois and Dutch Shepherds in Palmyra and also trains client dogs, drawing on more than 15 years of training experience with family, personal protection and working dogs.

Training

Basic obedience sessions build a foundation of sit, down, heel, stay and more. The puppy head start program puts a puppy on the right track with an approach tailored to the family's lifestyle, either by the session or as a board and train week. Board and train is customized, with the dog boarded and trained daily and one private session per week with the owner. Personal protection training is offered for families and individuals after a behavior assessment, since not every dog qualifies.

Good to know

Board and train dogs must be crate trained and show no signs of separation anxiety or aggression toward people.
