About Sit Means Sit Dog Training Clermont

Attention-based training in Clermont

Sit Means Sit Dog Training Clermont offers obedience training in Clermont and nearby Lake County towns such as Leesburg and Mascotte, for any dog, any age and any problem. The team handles anxiety, aggression, poor home manners and difficult leash walking, and every program starts with a free consultation and training demo.

Programs

Board and Train runs in 10, 15 and 20 day versions: the dog stays overnight, and at pickup the trainers go over what was learned so owners can continue at home, with the goal of transferring leadership back to the owner. Day and Train is a 3-day or 6-day program where the dog trains during the day and goes home at night, with a trainer meeting after each session; it can target separation anxiety, fear or aggression. Private Lessons happen in your home or a public area and teach owners the Sit Means Sit System through customized Private Lesson Memberships.

Method and tools

The system is attention-based and uses a variety of tools to get a dog's attention around distractions, often including the Sit Means Sit Collar, a remote electronic training collar. Packages are custom-built after the demo, based on the dog's age, temperament, previous training and the owner's goals.
