About The Dependable Canine

The Dependable Canine is located in Mooresville and works across North Carolina and beyond, with the option of meeting at public venues closer to its base. Its own line for what it does is "bringing service dog standards to your home".

Programs

The published service list is board and train for puppies and small dogs, customizable obedience training, behavior modification, and service and therapy dog training. Packages are described as fully customizable with lifetime support, and the emphasis is on what the site calls Team Training – the owner and dog trained together rather than the dog handed back finished. Service dog work is presented as a big commitment the site says is worthwhile for the independence it returns. The published route in is an intake form.

Method

The trainer's stated approach is that training is not a one-way street: each dog is treated as an individual, its core needs identified, and the best available tools used to get it there.
