About The Possible K9
Who they are
The Possible K9, LLC is run by Amanda Cox, who describes her practice as "In-home dog training in the Northwest Detroit suburbs, Michigan" and states that the business is professionally insured. She introduces herself directly: "I'm Amanda Cox, and I understand how overwhelming it can feel when the dog you love behaves in ways that disrupt your home or life."
Method
Cox describes herself as a balanced trainer: "As a balanced trainer, my methods are rooted in clear communication, fairness, and respect for both dog and owner. I don't believe in cookie-cutter solutions." She also trains and competes with her German Shepherd, Lucas, in American Schutzhund, and connects that to her pet work: "Competing in sport pushes me to continually refine my timing, clarity, and communication – and these same skills directly benefit the pet owners I work with every day." The emphasis is on coaching the handler: "My job isn't just to train your dog – it's to coach you in understanding your dog better, communicating clearly, and building habits that last long after our sessions end."
Programmes
Three are published. Puppy Fundamentals is aimed at building "a strong foundation of trust, communication, and relationship" from the start. Board & Train runs from her own home – "your dog lives and trains right alongside my family in a real home environment and comes back to your home with a new outlook on how to behave." Private Lessons give "1-on-1-on-1 time with you, your dog, and Amanda." A free assessment is offered before starting.
