About Tip Top K9 Novi Dog Training

Who they are

This is the Novi location of Tip Top K9, a national franchise whose site lists locations across fifteen states; the Michigan pages are Bloomfield Hills, Detroit, Novi, Sterling Heights and Troy. The Novi page is headed "Professional Local Dog Training in Novi, MI" and sits at Home > Michigan > Novi. The pitch is local: "We understand your life in Novi is busy, which is why we offer simple training methods designed to deliver real results without adding complexity to your schedule."

How it works

The process is three steps. First, a $1 first lesson: "We'll come to you, analyze your dog's behavior, and provide a recommendation on the next steps for just $1 (or four quarters – however you wish to view it)." Second, a personalized training plan "that addresses your pup's challenges and goals." Third, lifetime support: "Once training is complete, we provide unlimited access to group classes." The company states it works without contracts: "At Tip Top K9, we prioritize results, not contracts. We want to make sure we're a good fit before you commit."

What they train

Published programs are dog training, aggressive dog training, board and train, obedience, dog training classes, group classes, potty training, puppy training and service dog training. The behavior list covers leash pulling, excessive barking, anxiety, ignoring commands, jumping on people, reactivity and being easily distracted, with obedience goals given as "100% Come When Called, Stop Jumping on People, Proper Leash Walking, Stays / No Bolting" plus dog aggression, behavioral issues and off-leash obedience.

Reviews

The site displays a 4.9 rating based on 1,396 reviews. Named trainers recur in the client comments – Dylan, Jeanette, Anthony, Heather, Reagan and Levi among them – and most describe board and train or "boot camp" stays of three to four weeks followed by a post-training home session and ongoing Saturday group classes.
