About TRU dog

What they offer

TRU Dog is a Lincoln training business that builds customized training for dogs of all ages and breeds, with the focus on the owner and the human-canine connection. It works by appointment from its Frost Street location and uses positive reinforcement and game-based techniques, along with management to stop unwanted habits from being practiced.

Private and day training

Private sessions are mobile and take place in the owner's home, which the site calls the most effective choice for dogs with specific needs or unwanted behaviors. The Hang and Train day program teaches manners, socialization and new habits in a home environment using force-free, fear-free positive reinforcement.

Group classes

Group classes add socialization and built-in distractions. The schedule includes a six-week reactivity class that works on changing a dog's emotional response to its triggers, agility, a focused heel class, a play group that teaches owners to read play styles and body language, puppy socialization, a winter fitness class and group pack walks. A temperament test is also offered to help owners decide what to train next.
