About True Guard K9 LLC

True Guard K9 runs two distinct lines of work out of Cumming, and it is worth knowing which one you are calling about.

Board and train

The obedience side is sold as board-and-train in three-, four- and five-week blocks, described as comprehensive obedience and behavior training. The trainer named for this side is Tara MacNeil, who writes that her own route in began more than twenty years ago with an energetic, powerful dog she was in over her head with, and that she believes any dog can learn regardless of breed, size or drive.

Protection

The protection program is overseen by Alex Vancea, and the page is unusually frank about the limits of it. His stated position is that a genuine protection dog needs natural confidence for the job and that he will not push a dog that is not suited to it, and he applies the same frankness to assessments for owners who ask. Protection is available as one-to-one work or board-and-train, for dogs that qualify.

Dogs for sale

The business also places trained protection and companion dogs, with an availability page on the site.
