About Ohio K9 Ranch

Ohio K9 Ranch, run by Brandi with 18 years of experience, is a balanced trainer focused on real-world reliability — getting dogs calm and connected to their handler anywhere, not just at home.

How they train

Training happens in your actual environment and out in public spaces (pet stores, busy areas, even airports) to build confidence around genuine distractions, using off-leash methods and e-collar training. It's personal and individualized rather than a packaged assembly line, with a thoughtful decompression-first approach for shelter dogs.

Programs

A broad, specialized menu: on/off-leash obedience, e-collar work, therapy-dog and psychological service-dog training, full service-dog and protection training, scent training, in-home puppy work, and multi-dog household management. Pricing, durations, and guarantees aren't published — expect to start with a conversation.

Experience & credentials

Brandi brings 18 years across multiple training disciplines and runs it as a personal, hands-on operation. Columbus, OH · 614-843-6076 ·

Who it’s best for

Best for owners who want genuine off-leash reliability and real-world proofing, service/therapy/protection goals, or careful rehabilitation of a rescue. Less ideal if you specifically want a force-free / no-e-collar program or transparent published pricing.

I cannot say enough fabulous things about Brandi and her training skills! I have a lot of family health issues and I had a terrible time trying to potty train and behavior train my puppy. Brandi took him for two weeks and it was a miracle! She is very kind, loves her dog students, and will assist you at any time! She is the best and I am so grateful I found her! You will be so thankful if you hire her!!

We’ve been working with Brandi for over a year, and I can confidently say she has completely transformed our lives. When we first reached out, it was just for some puppy lessons, but we’ve ended up doing in-home sessions, ranch sessions, and even outings to places like Home Depot. Our trust in her is immeasurable—there’s simply no one I trust more with our dogs.

What’s truly incredible is how she’s helped not only our puppy but also our older dog, who I thought was set in her ways. Our four year old dog used to be very fearful, and I never imagined she’d have the confidence she has today. The progress has been nothing short of amazing. And our puppy? She’s turned into the most well-behaved and fun dog we could hope for. Her training has made it possible for us to take her everywhere with us.

I recommend her to literally everyone I know because she’s just that good. She’s patient, kind, and incredibly skilled. If you’re looking for someone to help you build a joyful, confident relationship with your dog, work with Ohio K9 Ranch.

Brandi is so knowledgeable and patient with dogs! She really cares about making sure she trains your dog and teaches you how to continue the positive behaviors on your own!

Brandi was instrumental in changing the dynamic between us and our dog Rocco. Rocco is a minpin and the breed is very smart, but stubborn and difficult to train. I was having a hard time and at my wits end when I called Brandi for help. We tried a couple of in home training sessions then decided he should go for a two week training at the Ohio K9 Ranch. Brandi trained Rocco then gave me the skills to continue at home and things have been great.

Brandi will also board dogs she has trained. This is an huge convenience because she knows his commands and will keep him in line while he is with her. I tried boarding at Pet Palace after his training and he was a disobedient mess for two weeks after returning from a short trip.

Someday I’m sure I will get talked into a second dog and I will be investing in training at Ohio K9 again!

Such an amazing experience! I trust Brandi so much with my babies and she’s taught both my dogs and me so much! I highly recommend bringing your dogs or puppies here to help!
